Kaffy Weds Today

The couple will tie the knot at the Bespoke event centre today
The popular dancer Kafayat ‘Kaffy’ Shafau will be tying the knot with her partner John ‘Papy J’ Ameh today Saturday, June 2, 2012.
There will be a short Nikkai ceremony for the couple, followed by a reception, all taking place at the Bespoke Events Centre, Lekki, Lagos.
Already, the bride and groom have arrived at the venue, while decorations and other fittings are being put in place. Security is also present. The rain has began falling and might slow things down a bit, but John seems not to be worried.
From a guest’s point of view, it looks like it’s going to be a grand ball; a white two-seater couch has been placed on the podium with a chandelier placed directly above it. We’ve been told Photographers will only be allowed to take pictures on the red carpet and not in the hall.
Kaffy and Papy J, who welcomed their first child in December 2011, were last spotted together on Saturday, May 26, 2012, at Funke Akindele’s wedding at The Haven, Ikeja.
The groom John Ameh and Lamborghini arrive the venue

Tiwa Savage believes shes blessed

Tiwa Savage
The first lady of the Mavin crew explains how eager she is to release here debut album and how she’d love to work with her favourite female artiste Brandy…
At what point did you decide to go into music as full time career?
I started singing in my early teens and almost immediately after, I got a gig to sing back up for George Michael. That’s how I transitioned into making music a profession, not just a hobby or passion.
Having lived abroad for a while, how were you able to break into the Nigerian music industry?
It was through the grace of God. I wrote Kele Kele as a demo song and played it for some people. A very close friend of mine, Bizzle Osikoya, believed in the song and played it for couples of DJ’s and radio station and it just caught on really fast. Ladies especially love it and from there I started getting some buzz. God has just been opening more doors for me ever since then.
You recently signed up for MAVIN records. Why did you leave your former record label to join MAVIN?
I haven’t left my label. I am still signed to 323 Entertainment, which is owned by Tunji Balogun and myself. We now have a partnership under MAVIN  records. This kind of partnership is very common in the United States. For example you have Young money under Cash money label, you also have G.O.O.D Music under Def Jam and so on.
You have four singles out, when should we expect an album?
Very soon, I am working so hard on putting finishing touches to the album. I want to show the different side of Tiwa Savage. I honestly don’t think I can capture it all on one album but I want people to see a glimpse of what different genre of music I can bring to the table.
I have been blessed because my audience is very wide; I have people that love Tiwa for her ballads, some for her up tempo club songs, and some for her jazzy neo-soul songs. So now, I need to create an album that has all those elements but still has a common thread running through it from the first to the last song.
You are one of the few leading ladies in the music industry; do you think the Nigeria music industry isn’t one which favours the female musicians?
I think the commercial aspect of the Nigeria music industry is still growing but it is growing fast and with every growing industry, new things take a while to catch on. Nigerians love female artistes and I believe we as females have been stepping out of our shell and so now there is a demand market for us. It is only going to get better for us. I have a lot of faith.
You are a very pretty lady, how do you deal with your male fans?
I appreciate their support. A lot of them love me more for my music and my gift and that means more to me than physical admiration.
What defines your sense of style?
I usually just wear what I like and feel comfortable with. I also have an amazing style team Veronica Ebi-Odeka (stylist), Debola Falana (hair), and Ify Ijeoma (make-up) that are constantly working hard to build an image that suits my music and personality.
You have few collabos with other Nigerian artiste, what should we expect in that angle on international scene?
I am focusing on my album right now, as it is my first. I haven’t reached out to any international artiste yet. But if I have to choose, I would love to do a song with Brandy as she is my all-time favourite.
You are also a songwriter, who is at the top of your list to write song for?
I would like to write for Beyonce, Brandy, Kim Burnell and Rihanna.
What’s next for Tiwa Savage?
More music, videos, shows, album and just using my music as a gift for people.

Singer Dencia denies gay rumours

The singer tweeted what you see above yesterday morning and quite a number of people and blogs assumed she was coming out of the closet as a lesbian. Not so says the Beri Beri singer..
The full explanation of her tweet when you continue...

Dencia says:

Some blogs are Saying I am Gay, its totally not true. I tweeted that I was Gay which was my state of Mind not my Sexuality. I have been very sick and down for the past 3 weeks and I recently felt better and anyone following me on twitter must have noticed I didn't tweet for a while. My new video Super Girl was picked up to premier on a few Major American TV stations so I was very Gay. That was the only word to express how I really felt at that moment.

I have nothing against lesbians, and homosexuals. In fact I have a lot of friends who are and I love them just the way they are. I am not a Lesbian or Bi sexual. My tweet was innocent. Gay in my dictionary means happy.

I am Happy and Single Straight Girl.. lol

‘I can't do without sex daily' - 10yr old

A 10-year old girl who was a victim of sexual abuse has made a shocking confession, saying that she cannot do without having sex with men daily.

She narrated how an old man, who was their neighbour at Mile 12, Lagos State, southwest Nigeria, lured her into sex at seven and since then she cannot resist having sex everyday. The primary two pupil said if she did not see any man to have sex with her in her area, she would go to a popular under bridge at Mile 12 Lagos and beg for sex from touts.

She said she came from Enugu state to Lagos to live with her aunt after the death of her father.
Her case has become so serious that she had to be referred to an NGO, Community Health Support and Empowerment Initiative, COHSAEI, which has taken up the challenge to rehabilitate her.
The little girl said she was lured into sex by a man she called Baba who lived with her aunt in the same compound.
She said the man (Baba) usually called her to his apartment whenever his wife and her aunt were not around and will put his finger inside her private part.
“He will tell me to come back home immediately our school closes and when I reach home he will be waiting for me to finger my vagina,” she narrated.
She said with time he started having real sex with her.
She said when the man that initiated her into it moved out of their area, she resorted to meeting other men in the area without her aunt knowing.
She said she has become addicted to sex and cannot do without it.
“When I desire sex and I do not see anybody to do it in my area, I will go under the bridge and beg the touts to do it for me,” he said.
Her predicament came when she confessed to her teacher what she was going through after the teacher noticed some abnormal behaviour in her.
The teacher contacted her aunt who contacted an NGO for assistance.
The programme coordinator of the NGO, Mrs. Priscilla Ingbia, noted that her case was very pathetic because of her age. She said her group took up the challenge to rehabilitate her because it was clear if nothing was done urgently her future was in danger.
She said her organisation has started the process of rehabilitating her by carrying out series of tests on her to ascertain her health conditions.
Ingbia stressed the urgent need to relocate her from her present environment and start a new life for her.
She said her organisation has not been able to do so because of the financial cost of doing so.
